Resume Review and Crash Course in Case Competitions Workshop

September 16, 2024

We’re excited to host a Resume Review and Crash Course in Case Competitions Workshop where we’ll cover essential resume practices to help you stand out. During the workshop, each DV member will receive personalized feedback from our executive board team to enhance their resumes — please remember to bring two printed copies of your resume for this review. Additionally, we’ll discuss strategies for approaching case competitions and provide details on what our case competition for this semester will entail. This workshop is a great opportunity to refine your resume and prepare effectively for semester DV case competition!

Fall 2024 Semester Workshop

October 25, 2024

At our semester workshops, we introduce new software that complements our current focus. This semester, while we’re learning Tableau, the workshop will focus on a different software that integrates seamlessly with Tableau, in a half-day crash course! Learning this new software and incorporating it into your case competition submission will be highly encouraged!

KPMG Interview Workshop

October 28, 2024

KPMG’s campus recruiter will provide an overview of typical interview processes before diving into interview structures, common interview questions, and how to structure your responses. After learning about what to expect during interviews and how to prepare for them, DV members will participate in mock interviews with KPMG professionals, gaining hands-on practice and valuable feedback. DV members will have the opportunity to network with the KPMG professionals.

Kelley Carnival

August 30, 2024

DV was one of the featured organizations at the Kelley Carnival, an event where students could explore various Kelley Student Organizations (KSOs). At our booth, students learned more about what DV had to offer, including our mission, activities, and the benefits of joining! We provided information on how to apply, as well as opportunities to meet our executive board team and ask any questions about DV! Whether they were interested in data visualization or looking to get involved in a vibrant student organization, they stopped by and discovered what DV could do for their professional growth at Kelley!

EY - Data Visualization in Consulting

April 1, 2024

EY Professionals went over some fundamental data visualization and analysis concepts and explained in depth how they use different data visualization tools and software in their everyday work, along with specific examples from some of their past projects. DV members had the opportunity to network with the professionals after the event.

Spring 2024 Semester Workshop

March 29, 2024

During the workshop, we explored techniques for integrating Google Analytics with R to build comprehensive and insightful dashboards. This approach provided valuable skills for effectively analyzing and visualizing data.

KPMG Interview Workshop

Resume Workshop

February 5, 2024

DV hosted a resume workshop focused on discussing best practices and industry standards for creating strong resumes. During the session, key guidelines were covered to help members craft resumes that effectively highlight their skills and experiences. After the presentation, each of our executive board members took the time to review individual resumes, offering personalized feedback to every DV member! This hands-on approach ensured that participants left with tailored advice to improve their resumes for future opportunities.
